Yaroslavl State Circus

Rudolf Gwerra built the first winter circus in Yaroslavl in 1850. In the 1870’s K. Villiers gave the presentation of the “Gymnastic Circus”. In 1884-1885, the Italian Circus was performed by M. Truzzi. In 1912, the temporary circus artists of the Nikitins and S. Baidoni worked. In 1913 Yaroslavets Yemelyanov built a warm building of the circus theater, which he rented, including E. Truzzi, Ts. Arrigoni, the brothers Efimov, M. Pempkovsky with his circus “Fantasy”. In the 1920s, visiting circus groups performed in a building built by a fire brigade.
