Ussuriysk State Circus – circus in Ussuriisk, Primorsky Territory. The official name is the State entertainment complex. Circus performances in Nikolsk-Ussuriysk (the old name of the city) were given from the beginning of the 20th century. In the early 1950s a wooden circus building was build that functioned until the 1960s. In 1971, the opening of the first Capital Circus Building in the Far East was timed to coincide with the opening of the party congres. The building is built according to a standard project of prefabricated reinforced concrete. The auditorium is designed for 1400 seats. The last circus performance was in 2004, the circus building is closed due to its critical condition. The reconstruction and renovation is planned, everything depends on the lack of financing.
