Rostov-on-Don State Circus

One of the best and most beautiful circuses in the world The Berlin hospital received in 1957 a serious competitor in the face of the new Rostov State Circus. The uniqueness and beauty of the building itself, the richness of the interior decoration, and the technical equipment, at that time, made the Rostov Circus one of the best hospitals in Europe. According to experts, the Rostov Circus did not concede, but in many respects it surpassed the famous Berlin hospital, the best European circus of that time. And it is no accident, when the head of the USSR NS. Khrushchev came to Rostov to award the region the Order of Lenin, then the solemn ceremony was held in the best city premises – the Rostov State Circus. The building of the circus is entered in the register of architectural monuments.

The world famous Russian clown Oleg Popov died in his artist chamber inside the circus building artist hotel on the 2nd of November 2016.
