Famous Perm local historian Vladimir Verholantsev believed that the first professional circus troupes began to visit Perm in the late nineteenth century. The first wooden circus building was built on the site of the Ekaterino-Petrovsky School (now the Perm Music School is located on this site). In the summer of 1884, the well-known circus of Trudtsi toured the city, which was a great success for Perm. In 1896, Perm visited the famous circus trainer Vladimir Durov. Circus Permians fell in love immediately and forever. The main audience of this entertainment institution was the middle class and the merchant class. Most of all, the audience loved the struggle and all sorts of original attractions. So it is known that in 1897 a museum of wax figures Bovets, a circus of Borovsky visited the city, in September 1990 Leonid Durov toured, in the summer of 1901 he gave performances to the circus of Malyugin.
