Cirque de Rouen

Build in 1894, demolished in 1973.

The circus building of Rouen was home to two circuses: le Piège and Rancy. It was opened on the 18th October 1894 and could seat 3000 people.

During the reconstruction of the Théâtre des Arts in 1944 the building was used to take its place. It ment that great names performed there: Duke Ellington (1950), Roberto Benzi (1952) and Louis Armstrong (1955) to name a few.
