The historic turning point of great importance in the evolution of the Romanian circus is represented by the establishment of its State Circus, in 1954, located on Nicolae Bălcescu Blvd., just in front of the current Bucharest National Theater. Originally the State Circus operated from the premises of Emil Krateyl’s former circus. In 1961 the State Circus moved to their new building in which it still operates today under the name of the Bucharest Globe Circus. The old circus building was demolished as was the faith of the Bucharest Circus Sidoli Building.
