The Chapiteau des Arts was inaugurated in 2004 and is part of TOHU – the city of circus arts in Montréal, Canada. It is the first circus building of Canada and it can seat 840 people. Architect is Jacques Plante of Jodoin Lamarre Pratte & Associés.
A unique feature for a circus building is that the seating system in the auditorium is telescopic. This means they can be retracted to create a completely free flat floored surface.
