Postcard Circus Building Brighton Hippodrome

Brigthon Hippodrome

What started out as an Ice-rink became a circus designed by the famous English theater and circus architect Frank Matcham. After a refurbishment into a theater it became a bingo hall and was eventually closed. Nowadays it is a derelict building for which several plans have been made. Locals would like to see it back in use as a theater again. Over the last decade however the ownership of the building changed several times. Fingers crossed that his building can be saved in such a way that its history remains clearly visible to all.
